Home Improvement has a rich history. In its eight seasons, it won several awards, including a Primetime Emmy for Best Comedy Series and an ASCAP Award for Best Music Video for the “By, Bye, Birdie” song. It also was one of the highest-rated new television shows of its time, and averaged nearly 18 million viewers per episode.
Movies and television
Although the show is no longer airing, the cast is still busy. Tim Allen has lent his talents to several movies and television shows, and has three sons. He also has an impressive resume as a stand-up comedian. However, he has no plans to reprise his role as Tim Taylor in a spin-off series.
Service will resurrect
There have been rumors of a Tim Allen reboot, but there have been no signs to date. One rumor has it that the upcoming Disney+ streaming service will resurrect the series.
For starters, the Home Improvement: 20th Anniversary Complete Collection includes all 204 episodes of the hit series. The set features all of the series’ special features, as well as collectible packaging. This set is the perfect gift for any fan of the show.
In honor of the anniversary, the Walt Disney Studios released a Home Improvement: 20th Anniversary Complete Collection DVD in Region 1. To accompany the set, Disney will release a special “Home Improvement” branded boxed set of the series’ most popular episodes, including the aforementioned Home for the Holidays. Also available are several special collectible packages of select “Home Improvement” episodes.
